Refresher Course
If you have already passed your driving test, but have not driven for a while or lost your confidence, we can provide you with refresher courses to boost your confidence in all areas of driving. These could be things like dealing with roundabouts, parking, or driving in the town. You can specify the topics you would like to cover before your course. The course lasts for 2 hours and costs £80.00 per session and can be carried out in either a manual or automatic car.
Mature Driver Assessment
Are you a seasoned driver who wants to ensure your driving skills remain sharp later in life? As we progress through different stages of life, it's essential to stay updated and confident behind the wheel. Whether you've been driving for decades or you've noticed a slight dip in confidence, our Mature Driver Assessment is designed with your needs in mind. Driving represents freedom and independence, allowing you to go where you want, when you want. Our Mature Driver Assessment covers everything from essential driving techniques to parking manoeuvres. You'll learn practical tips for staying safe on the road and techniques for handling common driving challenges. The assessment lasts for 1 hour and costs £40. Further sessions can be booked to cover areas of your driving you may need help with.
Pass Plus
This is a great course for full licence holders that consists of six modules of further training, covering a variety of topics including driving in town, all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways, and motorways. It is a practical training course that takes at least 6 hours and is for drivers to improve their skills and drive more safely. It can be taken at any time although it should be most useful to new drivers in the year after passing their test. This course costs £210.00 and you'll receive a certificate on completion of the course!
How do I get my provisional driving licence?
You must hold a provisional driving licence before you can start driving lessons. You can get your first provisional driving licence by applying to the DVLA online or by post. Apply for your Provisional Licence here.
Do I need to pass the Theory Test before I can start lessons?
No. In fact it is a good idea to learn the theory whilst you are learning to drive. It makes the subject relevant and easier to understand and remember. You can book your Theory Test here.
When can I start taking driving lessons?
You can start learning to drive a car on public roads from the age of 17 if you hold a provisional driving licence. You can apply for your provisional licence when you are 15 years and 9 months old.
How many lessons will I need to learn to drive?
It depends on your natural skills and how much you can invest in your driving lessons. On average it takes around 50 lessons. Pupils who have been cycling or riding a moped usually learn to drive more easily.
How often should I take lessons?
How often you have your lessons is entirely up to you. The more you are able to take, the quicker you will learn.
I am nervous about learning to drive, how can you help me?
We have had lots of experience dealing with nervous students and we are patient and understanding. Our Instructors will help to build your confidence.
Do you provide Pass Plus courses?
Yes, we do. Pass Plus is a six-hour training course designed to improve your skills in specific areas, such as driving in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways.
Can you give refresher lessons for qualified drivers?
Yes, depending on your requirements and there are several choices to help you brush up your skills.
