In September 2022, I passed my driving test. I’m 19 and thankfully I managed to pass on my first go. I couldn’t believe it as I was always quite nervous about learning to drive in the first place. With the expenses and the worry of not driving safely, I was definitely worried. Luckily, Terry was really understanding of my nerves. He remained calmed during every lesson, even during the heavy traffic jams during rush hour. 

He remained professional throughout, always ensuring that I was doing a good job and giving me advice for when I needed it. 

He saw that I was nervous so let me familiarise myself with the car before hitting the road. Once I got my confidence, Terry let me drive on different roads: in the towns, on the bypass and, during my last few lessons, in the country lanes. He also ensured that my road safety knowledge was up to date, and we practised the theory during the lessons so I could pass the theory test first time and, thankfully, I did. I’m not sure I’d have passed if it wasn’t for Terry’s road knowledge. 

Overall, I passed in 35 lessons, which is a lot lower than the average number of lessons needed to pass*. With each lesson, my confidence grew, and I was able to pass with just 6 minors on the test itself. I’m so glad I committed to learning how to drive. Having my licence has given me the freedom that I’ve been needing for a while. Being able to jump in the car and go anywhere is amazing. It’s also taught me how to responsible for looking after my car – it’s my most prized possession! 

I’m also grateful to Terry for teaching me how to drive. Without his professional and patient attitude, I don’t think I would’ve passed first time. His communication was clear, and I managed to learn each manoeuvre with confidence, such as reversing around a corner and parallel parking. 

I’d definitely recommend Freedom Drive. They’re great at what they do, reasonable priced and will get you passing your driving test in no time.
